Great place! Get here early if you can or expect a long wait. We got here at 10:30 on a Saturday - the open at 11 - and we were not first in line. I usually get the tri tip sandwich. Keep in mind that a large side is huge so either share it with someone or plan on taking it home.

Stopped in Sunday night and the line was a good hour and not moving so we came back Monday afternoon instead. Night and day. It was mostly empty and soooo relaxing! We haven't been back here in 12 years and needed a refresher. We ordered a ton: beef ribs, pork ribs, BBQ chicken, chicken wings, and onion rings. The beef and pork ribs were to die for and I'm still craving them. They were tender and meaty with the perfect BBQ char. The BBQ sauce is amazing: tangy and sweet with a buildable spiciness. The BBQ chicken, however, was too dry for my liking. Same issue I had 12 tears ago so that'll be a pass from now on. We were told the BBQ wings were pretty spicy so we asked for them dry. But the rub...it was so hot that I was sweating and tearing trying to eat one. Eventually we got a bowl of hot water to wash them but it was still too spicy for us. Great wings. Out of our league. For onion rings, I usually tear off half the breading because it's just too much carbs and grease but the ones here were so tasty I actually ate all of them. That's really saying something for me. Lastly they had a deal where you add a drink and you get a giant sausage with it. So very worth it. ----- Some props for some amazing service and staff: Valerie the cashier - was so patient going over the menu with us Neil - running around to keep everything in order and getting us whatever we needed Andrea the manager - so helpful and informative Javier - really helped us out when we were trying to get togo boxes and utensils for our giant meal

A must visit restaurant in San Diego!! This place is a must visit! I'm from Los Angeles and I tell everyone to visit this place! Best ribs ever! Usually there's a long line but I came here dinner time on Tuesday and there was no line, I went straight to the cashier and was able to sit down instantly. I told them I was new since last time I came here was 10 years ago. They gave me a sticker which lets the employees know I'm new. I ordered the full rib dinner ($30.99) which includes two sides of your choice. I got the cole slaw and potato salad. Getting full ribs is worth it than the half rib since it's $5 difference for double the meat. I also ordered a drink ($2.95). Drinks are self serve. I picked up my food shortly after ordering and it's delicious! Glad they have a roll of paper towel at every tables. And they also have large sink near the restroom to wash your hands. There was so much food, we grabbed a to-go box that's sitting out in the open which was nice. I highly recommend here if you're visiting San Diego!
